In three different incidents, police caught liquor smugglers with beer, country-made liquor, and raw liquor material (lahan):

  • Incident: Lokesh Goyal of Model Town had reported 70 sacks of wheat stolen from his plot near Transport Nagar on the night of April 23.
  • Arrested: Acting swiftly, SI Pradeep Kumar’s team arrested Sahil alias Headly (Ramnagar) and Kamaldeep alias Kalia (Rajiv Nagar).

  • Recovery: Police seized 30 wheat sacks, 9 rice sacks, and the stolen scooty used in the crime. Four other suspects in the same case had been arrested earlier.

Both arrested men have been sent to judicial custody by court order.
