6.76 Lakh Metric Tons Wheat Procured in Kaithal

Smooth Procurement Brings Relief to Farmers

Kaithal, April 27 — Deputy Commissioner Preeti announced that wheat procurement is running smoothly across Kaithal district. Till the recent day, a total of 6,76,708 metric tons of wheat has been procured through various agencies. This smooth operation ensures that farmers are getting timely support and services during the peak season.

The farmers of Kaithal district are breathing a sigh of relief as their produce is being purchased without hurdles. The procurement drive is helping boost rural incomes and the local economy at large.

Procurement by Different Agencies

Breaking down the figures, Deputy Commissioner Preeti shared detailed insights. Out of the total wheat purchased:

  • 2,22,032 metric tons were procured by the Department of Food and Supplies.
  • 2,79,272 metric tons were bought by HAFED (Haryana State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation).
  • 1,75,404 metric tons were handled by the Haryana Warehousing Corporation.

These numbers show the coordinated efforts of the agencies to ensure that no farmer faces delay or distress at procurement centers.

To ensure transparency, she also shared mandi-specific data. Here’s how wheat procurement shaped up across different centers:

  • Arnoli Mandi: 6,194 metric tons
  • Baba Ladana: 17,665 metric tons
  • Barsi Khurd: 12,377 metric tons
  • Balbehra Mandi: 1,847 metric tons
  • Balu: 12,616 metric tons
  • Barta: 9,686 metric tons
  • Baupur Mandi: 1,578 metric tons
  • Bhagal: 8,047 metric tons
  • Bhusla Mandi: 6,365 metric tons

The numbers highlight the busy activities across mandis, with each one contributing significantly.

  • Cheeka Mandi: 1,00,377 metric tons
  • Kaithal New Grain Market: 56,224 metric tons
  • Kaithal Additional New Grain Market: 43,001 metric tons

  • Solumajra: 64,464 metric tons

These centers were buzzing with activity as thousands of farmers brought in their harvests.
