Government Funds Must Reach the Right Hands
MP Naveen Jindal emphasized the need for proper utilization of government funds. This, he said, ensures that the right people benefit from the schemes. He chaired the District Development, Coordination, and Monitoring Committee meeting in Kaithal on May 3. The session took place at the mini secretariat’s conference hall.
Officers were instructed to deliver quality work. At the same time, they were told to focus on transparency. He said no compromise should be made on the quality of work.
Officials Must Work in Harmony
Jindal stressed cooperation among departments. This coordination, he explained, helps speed up development projects. For instance, road construction and repair must be done in sync with other departments. He said roads should be built in a way that they last for years.
Officers must set priorities. Urgent and public-facing works should be completed first. That way, people get relief without delays.

Meeting in Three Phases for In-Depth Review
The meeting took place in three phases. Each one focused on different departments. Forty-one government schemes were reviewed in detail. These included education, health, rural development, agriculture, and more.
Jindal was joined by Pundri MLA Satpal Jamba, BJP District President Jyoti Saini, DC Preeti, and other senior officers. Each department gave updates on the schemes they are handling. Jindal instructed them to ensure that people get maximum benefit from the work.
Focus on Education, Roads, and Health
According to Jindal, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini are committed to growth. Central and state schemes are helping people directly. Education, roads, and health services play a big role in the countryโs development.
Jindal asked officials to improve local schools. He told the education department to focus on student skill development. Better skill training will lead to better job opportunities.
Similarly, the health department was directed to continue awareness drives. These should aim to improve the male-female ratio in the district. He also asked for proper implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

The MP directed agriculture officials to encourage organic farming. Farmers should be trained and given market access. Plans should be made to ensure a steady income.
Crop residue management was also discussed. He said steps must be taken to reduce burning of stubble. The environment should be protected, and farmers should be guided properly.
Ensure Full Benefit of Housing and Employment Schemes
Jindal said housing schemes under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana must reach the needy. Both urban and rural poor must benefit from these programs.
He also discussed the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA). Officers were told to make sure that people get work and payments on time.
He encouraged the rural skill training institutions to boost training programs. This can give youth the skills they need to earn a living.
Electricity and Sanitation: Key Areas for Improvement
The power department was told to promote the ‘Jagmag Village’ scheme. Villagers should be informed about the benefits of joining it. If they participate, they will get 24-hour electricity like other villages.
Meanwhile, the municipal officials were asked to keep towns clean. Garbage disposal, sanitation, and cleanliness must be handled seriously.
During the review, the MP showed photos of bad roads from Kithana, Rajound, Matoor, and Kharkan to Cheeka Road. He directed officers to fix these at the earliest.
