Nipun Haryana Mission Goals Shared in Tarawali School
Education as a Tool for Social Change
On the occasion of Durga Ashtami, students of Government Primary School, Tarawali (Guhla Subdivision) were made aware of the goals of the Nipun Haryana Mission. Teachers conveyed to children and parents that education is the most powerful medium for social transformation. Through quality education, society can eliminate various social evils.
Ending Social Evils Through Learning
Teacher Gurdeep Urlana explained that an educated society can eradicate child marriage, gender discrimination, dowry, superstition, casteism, untouchability, and addiction. He emphasized that education empowers communities to overcome these harmful practices.
Focus on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy
Teacher Shishpal Sair highlighted that the primary objective of the Nipun Haryana Mission – Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Haryana is to ensure that all students, especially from Classes 1 to 3, gain the ability to read with understanding and solve basic mathematical problems. The mission aims to make children proficient in foundational skills, enabling them to achieve better learning outcomes.
Community Participation and Support
On this occasion, Head Teacher Lakhwinder Singh, Surjit Kharkan, Gurdeep Urlana, ABRC Neeru Bhargav, Shishpal Sair, and the students were present. Together, they reiterated that strong community involvement is vital to the success of the mission.
