Focus on PM Awas Yojana Registration, Water Conservation, and Eradicating Drug Abuse
Under the guidance of DC Preeti and the direction of SDM Pramesh Singh, awareness camps were conducted in various villages of Siwan block, including Harnaula, Attaila, Dohar, Kakarala Kunchia, Prempura, Kasaur, and Janedpur, as well as in the villages of Guhla block such as Sultania, Mastgarh, Lalpur, Paprala, and Rattakheda. These camps aimed to educate rural communities on key issues.

Providing details about the initiative, Siwan Block Development & Panchayat Officer (BDPO) Neha Sharma and Guhla Block Development & Panchayat Officer Samita stated that officials from various departments are raising awareness about eradicating drug abuse, water conservation, and the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin). BDPO Neha Sharma urged people to use water judiciously, prevent wastage, and protect natural water sources. She emphasized actions such as turning off taps when not in use, repairing leaks promptly, harvesting rainwater, and adopting sprinkler irrigation for farming. She also informed that the portal for PM Awas Yojana (Gramin) registration will remain open until March 31, allowing eligible individuals to apply for housing benefits.
BDPO Samita highlighted that it is everyone’s responsibility to ensure that government schemes reach eligible beneficiaries. She stressed that no deserving individual should be deprived of these benefits. Additionally, she warned against the dangers of drug addiction, describing it as a severe social, physical, and mental problem that negatively impacts individuals, families, and society. She urged the youth to stay away from substance abuse and lead a healthy life.
