Formal Induction in Panchkula
Cheeka, August 20 – Dr. Rekha Rani, Chairperson of Cheeka Municipal Committee, officially joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the party’s state headquarters Panch Kamal, Panchkula.
The membership was administered by BJP State President Mohan Lal Badohli in the presence of State General Secretary Dr. Archana Gupta, BJP leader Ashok Gujjar, Kaithal District President Jyoti Saini, District In-charge Amarpal Rana, and several other senior leaders.
Party insiders credit former District President Ashok Gujjar with playing a key role in bringing Dr. Rani into the BJP fold.
Political Journey and Background
In 2014, Rekha Rani contested the Guhla Assembly elections as an independent candidate and secured 23,000 votes, gaining recognition as a strong woman leader in the constituency.
Later, she contested and won the municipal election under the BJP-JJP alliance. On her election as Chairperson, several senior leaders, including then MP and now Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini, extended their support.
Apart from her political career, Dr. Rani has also served as a professor at Kurukshetra University.
Inspired by BJP’s Policies
Addressing the media, Rekha Rani said she was deeply influenced by the policies and working style of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Nayab Saini, and Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
She stated that under BJP’s governance, every section of society has received respect and development opportunities.
“BJP is not just a party but an ideology. I feel proud to join this ideology, which believes in putting the nation first, then the party, and lastly the self,” she said.
Commitment to Strengthening BJP
Rekha Rani pledged to work tirelessly for the party, spread its ideology to the grassroots, and closely collaborate with local BJP workers.
She expressed gratitude to the BJP leadership for her induction and assured that she would contribute with dedication to strengthen the organization.
