Cheeka Set for Grand 79th Independence Day Celebration

SDM Extends Greetings, Confirms Preparations

Guhla-Cheeka, August 14 — Sub-Divisional Magistrate Captain Pramesh Singh extended heartfelt Independence Day wishes and announced that the 79th Independence Day will be celebrated with great enthusiasm at Cheeka Grain Market. The event will be graced by Kurukshetra MP Naveen Jindal as the chief guest.

The SDM confirmed that both civil and police administration have completed all preparations for the grand occasion.

Flag Hoisting and Parade Inspection

As per the schedule, chief guest Naveen Jindal will hoist the national flag at 9 a.m., followed by the parade salute and inspection of the marching contingents. Afterwards, he will deliver an address to the gathering.

Cultural Performances and March Past

The celebration will feature a march past, PT shows, dumbbell and lezium displays by various schools. Cultural performances include:

  • Haryanvi Dance & Vande Mataram – Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School, Cheeka
  • Group Dance – A.V. Vidya Mandir, Cheeka
  • Giddha & Bhangra – Kohinoor International Academy, Tatiana
  • Patriotic Dance – Xavier International Academy, Cheeka & Indian Heights International School, Badsui
  • Choreography – S.D. Senior Secondary School, Cheeka
  • Bhangra – Sardar Pritam Singh Memorial School, Badsui

Honoring Excellence and Closing Ceremony

During the event, MP Naveen Jindal will honor officers, employees, and social workers for outstanding contributions in their respective fields. The program will conclude with the National Anthem.
