Col. Harpreet Singh Inspects NCC Unit, Motivates Cadets Toward Defense Services

Cheeka, Haryana —
At Government Senior Secondary School, Cheeka, Colonel Harpreet Singh, Commanding Officer of the 10th Haryana Battalion NCC, Kurukshetra, inspected the school’s NCC sub-unit. During his visit, he motivated the cadets to pursue a disciplined life, serve the nation, and consider a career in the armed forces.

The program was chaired by Principal Narendra Pal, with planning and coordination by NCC Officer Ashwini Kumar.


Nation-Building Through Discipline and Service

Addressing the cadets, Col. Harpreet Singh said that serving the nation is not limited to wearing a uniform; students too can contribute to nation-building through discipline, responsibility, and dedication. He highlighted opportunities in the Army, Navy, and Air Force through the NCC, explaining how A, B, and C certificates help candidates earn bonus marks in recruitment, thus opening doors to various positions.


Detailed Insight Into Agniveer Scheme

Col. Singh also provided in-depth information on the Agniveer recruitment scheme, explaining available roles such as clerk, technical staff, doctors, and other positions. He elaborated on the entire process of joining the defense services, up to becoming a commissioned officer.

In response to a question raised by cadet Priyanka, he shared finer details of the Army recruitment procedure, which greatly benefited the attending students.


NCC Unit Inspection and Appreciation

At the conclusion of the event, Col. Harpreet Singh inspected the school’s NCC sub-unit. He appreciated the cadets for their discipline, dress, and overall presentation, encouraging them to continue striving for excellence.
