District Athletics Competition at DAV College Cheeka
Over 300 Athletes Show Their Talent
Guhla Cheeka – The district-level athletics competition was successfully organized at DAV College Cheeka, with more than 300 athletes from across the district showcasing their strength, discipline, and determination.
Inauguration by Dr. Raj Roop Phulia
The grand opening ceremony was inaugurated by former Additional Chief Secretary of Haryana and former Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Raj Roop Phulia (Retd. IAS). As the chief guest, Dr. Phulia addressed the gathering and inspired the athletes.

Sports Encourage Discipline and Positivity
In his speech, Dr. Phulia emphasized that sports instill discipline, focus, and dedication in the lives of youth. He appealed to students to stay away from drugs and adopt a healthy and positive lifestyle through sports. He also highlighted that sports are an essential part of life and a strong foundation for future success.

Coach Dr. Satnam Singh expressed gratitude to all officials, staff members, and volunteers for making the event successful. He stressed that sports not only promote physical and mental development but also open career opportunities for young players.

- 600m Race (Under-16): Virender (1st), Surya (2nd), Armaan (3rd)
- 400m Race (Under-18): Sukhwinder (Gold), Khushi (2nd), Palak (3rd)
- Triathlon–B (Under-14 Girls): Neerat (1st), Khushi (2nd), Disha (3rd)

At the conclusion of the event, winners were honored with medals and certificates in recognition of their hard work and achievements.
