Dayalu Yojana: A Lifeline for Antyodaya Families

A Government Effort Bringing Real Change

In a significant push to support vulnerable families, DC Preeti of Kaithal declared the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Antyodaya Parivar Suraksha Yojana, also called the Dayalu Yojana, a blessing for the poor. The scheme ensures financial and social help to families earning up to ₹1.80 lakh annually in the tragic event of a member’s death or permanent disability.

The public response to this initiative has been positive. Citizens have shown appreciation for a scheme that recognizes hardship and offers timely support.

Financial Help Based on Age Group

From ₹1 Lakh to ₹5 Lakh in Assistance

According to DC Preeti, under this scheme, aid is provided based on the age of the deceased or disabled family member. The range of financial help varies, allowing even the youngest members of poor families to be covered.

Here’s how the compensation is structured:

  • 6 to 12 years: ₹1,00,000
  • 12 to 18 years: ₹2,00,000
  • 18 to 25 years: ₹3,00,000
  • 25 to 45 years: ₹5,00,000
  • 45 to 60 years: ₹3,00,000

This scale makes the plan fair, acknowledging a person’s age and earning potential when determining financial assistance.

Application Procedure Made Simple

Online Portal Ensures Easy Access

Eligible families can apply online through the official Dayalu portal: www.dapsy.finhry.gov.in.

Steps to Apply:

  1. Visit the official site
  2. Enter your PPP ID number
  3. Click on “Get OTP”
  4. Submit the OTP received on your registered number
  5. View your family details
  6. Fill in required personal and incident information
  7. Submit the form for approval

The process is transparent and user-friendly, aiming to eliminate delays and third-party involvement.

Timely Application is Crucial

Apply Within 3 Months of Incident

To be eligible for benefits, families must apply within three months from the date of death or permanent disability.

SP Preeti emphasized that these timelines must be followed strictly. Missing this period could lead to benefit denial, so awareness is key.

Warning Against Middlemen and Frauds

Stay Alert and Trust Only Official Channels

DC Preeti issued a strong advisory to all citizens. She urged them not to trust agents or unauthorized intermediaries. Fraud cases have been reported in similar welfare schemes in the past.

Beneficiaries are encouraged to handle the application themselves or seek help only from authorized government centers.

If citizens require help, they can contact the official helpline:

These contacts ensure that anyone in need gets proper guidance and avoids misinformation.

Public Sentiment: Grateful Yet Cautious

A Step Toward Inclusive Governance

Public feedback shows that the Dayalu Yojana is viewed as a much-needed support system. Families who have benefited express gratitude and relief.

However, many also feel that awareness campaigns should be stronger. Not everyone knows about the scheme, especially in remote villages.

Citizens demand regular community meetings, pamphlets, and local announcements to reach more people.

Conclusion: A Scheme That Brings Hope

The Dayalu Yojana is not just a policy—it’s a symbol of compassionate governance. With effective implementation and public cooperation, it can protect thousands from financial ruin during crises.

Authorities must continue to promote this scheme while guarding it against misuse. By staying informed and proactive, families can truly benefit from what has become a beacon of support for the poor.
