Police Intensifies Anti Drug Awareness Campaign

Kaithal, September 23 โ€“ To make Kaithal district drug-free, the police are running a special anti drug campaign. As part of the drive, the police are spreading awareness among the public about the dangers of drug use and encouraging youth to stay away from drugs by promoting sports and healthy activities.

The campaign also aims to rehabilitate addicted youth and bring them back into the mainstream of society.

โ€œDrugs Endanger Families, Society, and the Nationโ€ โ€“ DSP Beniwal

DSP Kuldeep Beniwal stressed that drugs destroy lives, often leading to premature death. โ€œA drug addict not only ruins his own life but also devastates his family. Addiction threatens the future of families, society, and even the nation,โ€ he said.

He emphasized that protecting the younger generation from drugs is the top priority, as they are the future of the country.

Door-to-Door Awareness in Village Dusein

On Tuesday, the district policeโ€™s anti drug awareness teamโ€”including SI Karmbir, ASI Om Prakash, HC Sunil, Lady Constable Kismat, and SPOs Rajpal & Pradeep Kumarโ€”carried out a door-to-door campaign in Dusein village under Pundri police station limits.

The team educated locals, especially youth, about the ill effects of drug use and administered an oath to stay away from drugs.

Positive Results from Anti Drug Efforts

DSP Beniwal noted that the anti drug campaign is showing positive results, with many youth turning towards sports and fitness instead of drugs. He called upon the public to contribute actively to the Drug-Free India campaign.

He further appealed to citizens to report drug peddlers immediately by dialing 112, assuring that the identity of the informant will remain confidential.
