Kaithal, March 24 – As part of the ongoing crackdown on drug trafficking, the Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau (Kurukshetra Unit) arrested a drug peddler from Kyodak village and recovered 321 grams of opium from him.
According to police spokesperson Praveen Sheokand, a team led by SI Sanjay Kumar was patrolling the Kyodak area when they received a tip-off about Bhupender Singh alias Pappi, who was allegedly involved in selling opium. The suspect was expected to pass through an alley near the village cowshed.
The police immediately set up surveillance and intercepted Bhupender. In the presence of Naib Tehsildar Ravindra Singh Hooda, a legal search was conducted, leading to the recovery of 321 grams of opium hidden in a plastic bag.
A case has been registered, and SI Ramesh Chand from Kyodak Police Post has arrested the accused. Bhupender will be presented in court on Monday, and further investigation is underway.
