Presence at Accident Site Can Save Lives: Dr. Raja Singh Jhinjar
First Aid Seminar Organized at Adarsh School, Jakhouli

โAnyone present at the accident site can give new life to an injured person, and their contribution is the most crucial in saving lives.โ These were the words of Dr. Raja Singh Jhinjar, Master Trainer and First Aid Specialist of St. John Ambulance International Association India, Kaithal branch, during a first aid seminar held at Adarsh Senior Secondary School, Jakhouli.
The seminar was organized under the guidance of Dr. Rajpal Poonia, National President of St. John Ambulance International Association India, with participation from 400 students, 15 teachers, school bus drivers, and conductors.

Importance of First Aid Training
Dr. Jhinjar emphasized that first aid training is a primary requirement for human safety and must be learned on priority. He provided detailed sessions on handling fractures, poisonous bites, electric shocks, drowning, poisoning, wounds, trauma, heart attacks, bleeding, unconsciousness, and safe transfer of patients to hospitals.
CPR Demonstration and Practical Training
Using a human dummy, Dr. Jhinjar trained staff members and students in performing CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). He explained that CPR is not just a medical technique but an art of saving lives, especially in cases of road accidents or emergencies when both breathing and heartbeat stop.

School Managementโs Response
Principal Om Prakash Sharma praised the methods and management of the training, stating that first aid knowledge protects not only oneself but also helps save othersโ lives. He highlighted that this was the first time students practiced CPR on a human dummy under expert training, gaining valuable practical experience.
Building Life-Saving Awareness Among Students
The seminar concluded with students asking questions and clearing doubts about first aid procedures. Principal Sharma thanked Dr. Jhinjar and said such seminars not only raise life safety awareness among students but also equip them with socially useful skills.
