Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji 350th Martyrdom Day to Be Celebrated with Devotion and Enthusiasm

Kaithal, October 25: Deputy Commissioner Preeti announced that the 350th martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji will be observed with great reverence and enthusiasm. Special journeys will be organized across Haryana, with the sacred procession passing through Kaithal on November 20 and 21, and the state-level event to be held in Kurukshetra on November 25.

The DC also stated that on October 31, a Run for Unity will be organized to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, while programs celebrating 150 years of the Vande Mataram song will also be held.


Micro Management for Upcoming State-Level Events

Presiding over a meeting at the Mini Secretariat, DC Preeti directed officials to ensure micro management for all upcoming national and religious events.
Earlier, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, through a video conference, had issued essential instructions to all Deputy Commissioners and Police Superintendents regarding the events.


Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s Journey to Spread Peace and Harmony

DC Preeti said that the sacred procession commemorating Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s 350th martyrdom day will travel through Kaithal on November 20 and 21, spreading Guru Ji’s eternal message of peace, sacrifice, and communal harmony.

The state-level celebration will take place on November 25 at Kurukshetra, serving as a tribute to Guru Ji’s supreme sacrifice and teachings. She instructed officials to ensure adequate security, traffic control, cleanliness, and facilities for devotees during the procession.


Blood Donation Camp and Essay Competition

To honor the occasion, a blood donation camp will be organized on November 1. Additionally, an essay writing competition on the life of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji will be held on November 3.
Around three lakh students from across Haryana will participate, writing in Hindi, English, Sanskrit, and Punjabi. Winners will receive awards for their outstanding work.

The DC further informed that several statewide journeys will be flagged off by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini — from Rori (Sirsa) on November 8, Pinjore on November 11, Faridabad on November 14, and Kapal Mochan (Yamunanagar) on November 18.
A “Hind Di Chadar Run” will also be held in Karnal on November 9.


Run for Unity to Mark Sardar Patel Jayanti

Highlighting the significance of national unity, DC Preeti said that on October 31, the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Run for Unity will be held across Haryana.
The run aims to inspire youth and citizens about the importance of national integrity and spread the ideals of Sardar Patel, the Iron Man of India.

A Pad Yatra (march) will also be held before November 25, with dates to be finalized soon. DC Preeti urged citizens to actively participate in both events.


Strict Instructions for Event Coordination and Security

Emphasizing flawless execution, DC Preeti instructed officials to prepare detailed and stepwise plans covering traffic, safety, sanitation, health services, and basic amenities.
She called for complete coordination among departments to ensure both religious and national events are held successfully and with dignity.

Officials present included SP Upasana, ADC-cum-CEO Suresh Ravish, Civil Surgeon Dr. Renu Chawla, DFSC Nishant Rathi, DIO Deepak Khurana, and officers from the Nehru Yuva Kendra and Education Department.


Officials Directed to Ensure Fair Paddy Procurement

Following a state-level review meeting, DC Preeti also reviewed the paddy procurement process in the district.
She instructed DFSC officers and procurement agencies to prevent any irregularities, intensify road inspections, and check illegal paddy movement from other states.

Officers were told to avoid harassing farmers unnecessarily but take strict action against violations. She also ordered that CCTV cameras in all mandis must remain operational, warning that non-functional cameras during inspections would invite strict action.
