Preparations Underway for Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji 350th Martyrdom Day Procession
Procession to Reach Kaithal Cheeka Yatra on November 21 and Cheeka on November 22
Guhla-Cheeka, November 12 โ On the occasion of the 350th Martyrdom Day of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, a grand religious procession (yatra) is being organized across Haryana. The yatra will arrive in Kaithal on November 21, where district residents will extend a warm and devotional welcome.
The next day, on November 22, the procession will proceed from Kaithal to Cheeka, passing through Khanpur, Siwan, Pold, Kangthali, and Dera Kar Seva. Devotees from these villages are preparing to greet the sacred yatra with reverence and enthusiasm.
SDM Captain Parmesh Singh Reviews Preparations
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Captain Parmesh Singh held a meeting with officials from various departments and representatives of local gurdwaras to review arrangements for the event.
He emphasized that this yatra holds deep spiritual and cultural importance, and all departments must work in coordination to ensure it proceeds smoothly and respectfully.

Departments Directed to Complete Work on Time
The SDM instructed the Public Works Department (PWD) to ensure that the KaithalโCheeka road is fully repaired and in good condition before the yatra begins, so that no inconvenience is caused to participants.
He also directed the Municipal Committee Secretary to ensure cleanliness, proper lighting, and installation of welcome gates along the procession route.
The Police Department has been tasked with managing traffic and security arrangements during the procession to maintain peace and order.
Call for Community Participation
Captain Parmesh Singh urged residents to participate in the Kaithal Cheeka yatra with full devotion and discipline.
