A Joyous Celebration at Tarawali Government Primary School
Guhla-Cheeka: Guru Valmiki Jayanti 2025 was celebrated with great devotion, enthusiasm, and reverence at the Government Primary School in Tarawali village on Friday. The program began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and floral tributes to the portrait of Maharishi Valmiki.
Teachers Highlighted Valmiki’s Contribution to Society
On this occasion, teacher Gurdeep Urlana said that Maharishi Valmiki, the author of the epic Ramayana, showed society the path of dharma, truth, and an ideal way of life. He emphasized that Valmiki Ji’s life is a symbol of humanity, equality, and virtue.
Students presented speeches, poems, and calligraphy based on Valmiki Ji’s teachings, which were warmly appreciated by all attendees.
Inspiration to Follow the Path of Truth and Knowledge
Head Teacher Lakhwinder Singh addressed the gathering and urged everyone to follow the noble teachings of Maharishi Valmiki in their daily lives. Teacher Surjit Kharkan also encouraged students to walk on the path of truth and knowledge.
At the end of the event, students were distributed sweets (laddus), and everyone took a pledge to adopt the ideals of Guru Valmiki Ji in their lives.

The celebration saw the participation of teachers Gurdeep Urlana, Surjit Kharkan, Shishpal Sair, Lakhwinder Mahrok, Paramjit Kaur, Manjeet Polad, Sukhwinder Kaur, and all students of the school.
