A month-long cleanliness awareness campaign titled “Adopt Cleanliness, Drive Away Disease” has been launched in Cheeka under the directions of Municipal Secretary Jitendra Sharma. Running from July 1 to July 31, 2025, the campaign aims to inspire residents to embrace hygiene practices that help prevent illness.

- Teaching Proper Techniques: Children were shown the correct way to wash hands with soap and water to ensure germs are effectively removed.
- Spreading Health Awareness: The event emphasized that hand washing is one of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent disease.
Key Benefits:
- Disease Prevention: Regular hand washing helps guard against diarrhoea, cholera, and other waterborne diseases.
- Improved Cleanliness: This habit promotes personal hygiene and helps keep the community cleaner overall.
- Better Health Outcomes: Consistent hygiene practices lead to stronger health for everyone.
Steps to Boost Awareness:
Training sessions will continue in schools to build these healthy habits from an early age. Additionally, community outreach events will be held across neighbourhoods to encourage all residents to participate.
Municipal authorities have urged citizens to actively join this campaign and contribute to creating a clean and healthy Cheeka.
