JOSAA Round 6 Seat Allotment Result 2025 :Final Admissions for IITs & NIT+ System

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JOSAA) announced the highly anticipated Round 6 seat allotment results today, marking the final stage of counseling for IITs and the NIT+ system (NITs, IIITs, GFTIs)

📝 What You Need to Know

  • Seat Status & Allotment: Candidates who opted for “slide” or “float” in Round 5 — or who had not been allotted a seat yet — can now check their final placement .
  • IITs: This is the last JOSAA round for admissions to IITs .
  • NIT+, IIITs, GFTIs: Any unfilled seats from Round 6 will enter the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) process, with registration opening July 30
  • ✅ How to Check the Result
  1. Visit the official JOSAA portal: josaa.nic.in
  2. Click on “Round 6 Seat Allotment Result” under the Candidate Activity Board .
  3. Log in with your JEE Main 2025 application number and password
  4. View your allotment, download, and print the confirmation page for future reference.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • No Float/Slide Allowed: Round 6 is binding—seat acceptance is final; IIT seats cannot be relinquished
  • Withdrawal Rights: Only available for NIT+, IIIT, and GFTI candidates until July 21
  • Final Opportunity via CSAB: Candidates not allotted in Round 6 or withdrawing from NIT+ seats may still secure admission through CSAB special rounds beginning from July 30
