Kaithal Police, under the leadership of SP Aastha Modi, achieved significant success on multiple fronts, tightening the grip on criminal networks involving drug smuggling, sex trade, and house burglaries.
1. Drug Smugglers Caught with Charas
Acting on a tip-off, the Anti-Vehicle Theft Staff apprehended two drug smugglers with 1 kg 30 grams of charas in a black XUV near Kyorak village. The accused, Rajendra Kumar and Manoj Kumar, both residents of Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, were intercepted after setting up a checkpoint near National Highway based on intelligence.
The search was conducted in the presence of Tehsildar Ravindra Hooda, and the narcotics were recovered from a plastic bag inside the vehicle. A case was registered at Sadar Police Station. Accused Manoj was sent to judicial custody while Rajendra was remanded to two-day police custody for further interrogation.
2. Arrest in Sex Racket Case
In a separate operation, Vikas from village Mundri was arrested for operating a sex racket. Acting on a lead, the police raided a house near Sugar Mill on Karnal Road where four women were rescued. The women revealed that Mamta from Rajound and Vikas were forcing them into prostitution and extorting money from clients. A case was registered at Titaram Police Station, and further investigation is underway.

3. Two House Burglars Nabbed, Four Thefts Solved
Cracking down on property crimes, Kaithal Police arrested Balvinder Singh of Kurukshetra and Sunil Kumar of Rohtak for a series of house burglaries in Kaithal and Jind districts. The investigation began after a complaint by Bhagal resident Lal Singh, whose house was looted of 10 tolas of gold and โน1 lakh cash on April 30.
During the police remand, the accused admitted to three more burglaries โ one in Pundri and two in Jindโs Safidon area. The police recovered 5 tolas of stolen gold from them. Both were sent to judicial custody after completing remand.
