Kaithal Police Urge Farmers to Stop Stubble Burning

Kaithal, September 27 – Under the directions of Superintendent of Police (SP) Kaithal Upasana, the district police are continuously visiting villages and farmlands to create awareness among farmers about not burning crop residue.

DSPs and station house officers across the district are actively engaging with farmers, urging them to adopt safe methods of managing stubble instead of setting it on fire.

Awareness Under Seva Pakhwada

Alongside the anti-stubble burning campaign, police officers are also educating people under Haryana Police’s Seva Pakhwada initiative. The awareness drive covers issues such as:

  • Avoiding drug abuse
  • Preventing cybercrime
  • Curbing crimes against women
  • Following traffic rules

Appeal from SP Upasana

SP Upasana appealed to farmers to avoid setting paddy crop residues on fire. Instead, she suggested making use of Custom Hiring Centers and Crop Residue Management Machinery to mix stubble into the soil. This not only prevents environmental pollution but also improves soil fertility.

Strict Monitoring by District Administration

The SP emphasized that any farmer found burning stubble would face strict monitoring and possible action from the district administration. She further urged farmers to cooperate in keeping the environment clean and safe for future generations.
