Kaithal Police Arrest 4 Drug Peddlers with 165 Kg Doda

Kaithal, September 17 —
Under the directions of SP Aastha Modi, Kaithal Police continues to intensify its crackdown on drug trafficking. The Anti-Narcotic Cell has arrested four accused and seized 164 kg 755 grams of Doda Chura Post along with the truck and car used in the smuggling operation.

Police Operation and Arrests

During a night patrol on September 17, the Anti-Narcotic Cell team led by SI Rajbir Singh was in the Andhli village area when they received secret information. Police were informed that Madu Ram (resident of Chanchak) and Manjeet Singh (resident of Karimanagar, Punjab) had been smuggling Doda Chura Post for some time. They were reportedly bringing the contraband from Madhya Pradesh using trucks and transferring it into smaller vehicles on secluded Punjab routes.

Acting on this tip, a raiding party was formed. At Sangatpura, police noticed a truck and a Swift car parked. Two young men were found carrying a plastic sack near the car. They were immediately apprehended and identified as Madu Ram and Manjeet Singh.

Further checks led to the arrest of truck driver Mukesh Sonia (from Agar Malwa, Madhya Pradesh) and Kamal Singh (from Jhalawar, Rajasthan).

Contraband Seized

In the presence of DSP Sushil Prakash, the search was carried out as per procedure. From six plastic bags, police recovered 164.755 kg of Doda Chura Post. It was confirmed that the consignment had been arranged by Madu Ram and Manjeet Singh through Mukesh and Kamal Singh from Madhya Pradesh. The accused were caught while transferring the sacks from the truck to their car.

Previous Records and Legal Action

Accused Madu Ram was already facing previous charges related to drug trafficking. A fresh case has been registered at Sadar Police Station, and all four accused have been formally arrested by ASI Narendra. The truck and car used in smuggling have been seized.

The accused will be presented before the court, and further interrogation is underway to uncover their network.
