NSS Day Celebrated at DAV College Cheeka

Cheeka, September 24 – The NSS units of DAV College Cheeka organized various programs on the occasion of NSS Day, including a speech competition and plantation drive. The events aimed to highlight the importance of service, social responsibility, and environmental awareness among students.


“NSS Connects Students with Society” – Prof. Neeraj Singh

Program Officer Prof. Neeraj Singh explained that the main objective of the celebration was to develop service spirit, social responsibility, and environmental consciousness in students. He further highlighted the benefits of NSS, stating that the scheme connects students with society and instills qualities of empathy, service, and leadership.


“NSS is a Way of Life” – Principal Dr. Jasbir Singh

Addressing the gathering, College Principal Dr. Jasbir Singh emphasized that NSS is not merely an activity but a value system that inspires students toward social service. He said the initiative not only enhances students’ personalities but also helps them become responsible citizens.


Students Take Pledge for Service and Awareness

Teachers, NSS volunteers, and a large number of students participated in the event. At the conclusion, all present took a pledge to actively engage in social service, environmental protection, cleanliness, and awareness campaigns.
