In a powerful tribute to the Indian Army’s valor, a grand Tiranga Yatra was organized in Pundri to celebrate the success of Operation Sindoor, a mission that dealt a decisive blow to terrorism. The event, led by MLA Satpal Jamba, ignited patriotic fervor among citizens, drawing massive participation from students, NCC cadets, social organizations, and the general public.

Before flagging off the march from the Indoor Stadium to Devi Temple, MLA Jamba addressed the press and praised the Indian Army for its daring actions during Operation Sindoor. He emphasized the bravery of the troops and highlighted the precision of India’s modern missile systems.

“Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India has responded strongly to terrorism. Operation Sindoor was a powerful retaliation for the Pahalgam attack, where the enemy tried to wipe off the sindoor—the symbol of dignity—for our women. Our forces responded within three days, making the enemy kneel,” said Jamba.

The Yatra also paid tribute to Colonel Sophia Qureshi, whose leadership during the mission was seen as a defining moment in India’s military response. Her role became a symbol of strength and inspiration, particularly for women in the armed forces.

Throughout the route, citizens chanted ‘Hindustan Zindabad’ and ‘Indian Army Zindabad’, while patriotic songs echoed in the streets of Pundri and Fatehpur. The procession sparked national pride and showcased the unity of the people in supporting their armed forces.

MLA Jamba reiterated that the mission sent a clear message to terrorism sponsors across the border. “The Indian Army has shown that it will always protect the unity and integrity of this nation. Operation Sindoor is a proud chapter in our history,” he stated.

The Tiranga Yatra stood as a salute to not just the mission’s success, but to the leadership of Colonel Sophia Qureshi and the bravery of every soldier involved. The public’s participation reflected their immense pride in the Indian Army and its unshakable spirit.

Dignitaries present at the event included Subhash Hajwana, Satpal Chugh, Devender Panchal, Nidhi Mohan, Manoj Rana, Saroj Prajapati, Vijender Mehla, Krishan Sharma Pilani, Mannu Walia, Amit Saini, Labh Singh, Dr. Balvinder Mehla, Rampal Kaul, Rishipal Dherdu, Sohanlal, Gurvinder Singh, Ishwar Sakra, Rajesh Barsana, and Babli Goswami.

As the tricolor fluttered proudly, the Yatra served as a vivid reminder that India stands strong behind its forces—and that the courage of missions like Operation Sindoor will never be forgotten.
