Parshuram Teaches Us Unity and Courage, Says Haryana Minister

Cheeka, April 29 – Haryana’s Cooperation, Jails, Elections, Heritage, and Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma addressed a gathering at Cheeka, stating that Lord Parshuram, the sixth avatar of Vishnu, is a symbol of justice and strength for the entire society—not just any one group.

He was speaking at a function held to celebrate Lord Parshuram Jayanti, organized by the Parshuram Dharamshala Committee.

Government Walking on Path Shown by Parshuram

Dr. Sharma emphasized that Lord Parshuram stood against injustice and fought for the collective good of society. He said the present government is committed to the ideals of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas”, inspired by Lord Parshuram’s legacy.

He praised Lord Parshuram as a saint of penance, sacrifice, and devotion to his parents. “He only picked up arms to protect righteousness,” the minister remarked.

Brahmin Community Praised for Social Unity

Dr. Sharma lauded the Brahmin community, stating that they have always united society and carried all 36 communities forward. He credited the community’s contribution in both religious and social development.

He also highlighted various welfare initiatives of the central and state governments, such as:

  • Transparent recruitment processes benefitting Haryana’s youth
  • A medical college in Kaithal’s Sapan Kheri named after Lord Parshuram
  • Implementation of the New National Education Policy
  • Promotion of astrology, rituals, and Vedic knowledge

He further announced a donation of ₹21 lakh for social and cultural causes, and paid tribute to the martyrs of Pahalgam.

Satpal Jamba: “Parshuram’s Life Balances Knowledge and Action”

Pundri MLA Satpal Jamba also addressed the event, emphasizing that Lord Parshuram was a balance of wisdom and action. “He was a great warrior and a sage—his life inspires today’s youth to walk the righteous path,” he said.

He added that India is becoming a world leader under PM Narendra Modi’s leadership and highlighted the importance of language and culture as the soul of the nation. Jamba also announced a ₹11 lakh donation.

State-Level Jayanti Celebration on May 17 in Peharawar

Dr. Sharma informed the public that the state-level celebration of Lord Parshuram Jayanti will be held on May 17 in Peharawar (Rohtak). Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini will attend the event.

This initiative continues the tradition started by former CM Manohar Lal Khattar under the Saints and Great Personalities Honor Scheme, aiming to connect youth with India’s spiritual legacy.

Community Participation and Support

The event saw enthusiastic participation from all walks of society. Notable attendees included:

  • MLA Satpal Jamba
  • Cheeka Municipal Chairperson Rekha Rani
  • President of Brahmin Dharamshala Cheeka Jaibhagwan Sharma
  • Religious leaders Mahant Sant Puri Ji Maharaj and Brahmanand Giri Ji Maharaj
  • Other community leaders like Rajesh Sharma, Mahendra Sharma, Praveen Sharma, and many more

Final Thoughts

This celebration was more than just a religious event—it was a call for unity, courage, and ethical governance. As the state moves toward progress, public sentiment strongly favors preserving cultural values and honoring historical figures like Lord Parshuram.

The upcoming state-level celebration in Peharawar is expected to witness large-scale participation, reinforcing the ideals of justice, righteousness, and collective growth.
