Guhla Cheeka Gears Up for International Yoga Day with Pilot Rehearsal

A pilot rehearsal was successfully held today at the Grain Market in Cheeka to prepare for the upcoming International Yoga Day celebrations on June 21. The event, organized at the sub-divisional level in Guhla Cheeka, drew participation from schoolchildren, women, athletes, and staff from various departments, all uniting to embrace yogaโs health benefits.
The core aim of celebrating Yoga Day each year is to enhance mental and physical wellness among citizens. In todayโs fast-moving and stressful lifestyle, yoga has become essential for maintaining a healthy routine and a focused mind.
Yoga Session Led by Experts
Dr. Vinod Gupta from the Bharatiya Yoga Sansthan, Cheeka, led the yoga session. He began with discipline-based exercises and guided the attendees through important asanas including Tadasana, Ardhachakrasana, Vajrasana, Makarasana, Bhujangasana, and breathing techniques like Kapalbhati and Anulom Vilom.
During the session, Dr. Gupta also elaborated on the importance of yoga in daily life. He advised that starting the day with yoga not only boosts energy but also promotes mental clarity. “Yoga is an integral part of life and should be practiced regularly to maintain balance and strength,” he added.

Guhla Administration Invites Public to Main Event
Dr. Vikramjeet Singh, the AYUSH Medical Officer and program nodal officer, shared that the main International Yoga Day event will be held at Cheeka Grain Market on June 21 at 6 AM. SDM Guhla, Captain Parmesh Singh, will be the chief guest for the occasion.
Dr. Singh urged the residents of Cheeka, Guhla, and surrounding areas to join the event and make yoga a part of their daily lives. The administration is fully prepared to host the event with grand enthusiasm and wide participation.

Many officials and yoga assistants were present during the rehearsal, including SDO Indraraj Panwar, Rammehar Sharma, yoga assistants Sukhdev and Sandeep, Gurmeet Sida, and Dr. Kamlesh. Their presence highlighted the commitment of the Guhla Cheeka administration to making this Yoga Day a success.
