Crime Sweep in Kaithal: Major Breakthroughs by Local Police

In a series of swift and strategic actions, Kaithal Police, under the leadership of SP Aastha Modi, have made major progress against rising crime. From catching bike thieves to arresting a drug trafficker, a murder accused, and cyber fraud suspects, the police have reinforced public trust through prompt and bold actions.

Bike Thief Caught, 9 Stolen Bikes Recovered

Acting on the directives of SP Aastha Modi, the Anti Vehicle Theft Staff achieved a breakthrough by arresting a bike thief. They also recovered nine stolen bikes.

Police spokesperson Praveen Shyokand shared that a resident of village Koulakha, Rakesh, had filed a complaint. His bike was stolen from near Balaji Marble in Kalayat. A case was registered at Kalayat Police Station.

Under SI Pradeep Kumarโ€™s leadership, a team including SI Shubhkaran, SI Jaibhagwan, ASI Ashok Kumar, and Home Guard Vikas acted swiftly. They arrested the accused Joginder Singh alias Kala, a resident of Seenser, Jind district, from Dhandhwa Road, Kalayat.

During interrogation, the accused revealed the locations of eight more stolen bikes. Out of these, four were stolen from Kalayat, one from Civil Lines, and one from the Rajound area. Investigations continue for the remaining three.

The accused was later sent to judicial custody as per court orders.

Drug Dealer Caught with Nearly 2 Kg of Ganja

In another major bust, the Anti Narcotics Cell nabbed a drug trafficker carrying 1.96 kg of ganja flower buds in Kalayat.

During a night patrol on Dhandhwa Road, a police team led by SI Singharaj and SI Balraj received a tip-off. They were informed that Sonu, a resident of Khark Pandwa, was selling ganja and would soon pass through the area on a bike.

The police set up a checkpoint. Shortly after, they stopped a suspect matching the description. In the presence of Tehsildar Dinesh Kumar, a search was conducted, leading to the recovery of the drugs in a polythene bag.

A case was filed at Kalayat Police Station, and the accused was arrested by SI Joginder. The suspect was later sent to judicial custody as per court directions.

Murder Case: One Accused Arrested by Special Detective Unit

The Special Detective Unit made progress in a murder investigation by arresting one of the key accused.

DSP Bir Bhan reported that Aman from Choushala village filed a complaint. A year ago, Aman and his friends Kulbir and Mohit had a scuffle on a bus with residents of Balu village, including Vicky, Aman (not the complainant), and Mitha. Tension continued between the groups.

On May 1st, Aman and Kulbir were heading to their village from the Kaithal market when the accused blocked their path near the railway gate. Armed with knives and knuckle dusters, the attackers included residents of Balu and Khark.

Aman managed to flee, but Kulbir was brutally stabbed. He was first taken to Shah Hospital, then referred to another facility. Tragically, he died en route to Hisar due to severe injuries.

The police filed a murder case at the City Police Station. SI Ramesh Chand and his team arrested Jaiprakash alias JP of Khark Pandwa. He confessed to the crime, admitting the attack was revenge for the past conflict.

The accused was presented in court and remanded to three days of police custody. Authorities are working to apprehend the other suspects soon.

โ‚น14.55 Lakh Cyber Fraud: Second Accused Nabbed

In a major cybercrime investigation, the Cyber Crime Unit arrested a second suspect in a โ‚น14.55 lakh gift voucher scam.

PSI Shubhranshu and SI Ravindra Singhโ€™s team led the operation. The initial complaint was filed by Nishant from Amargarh Gamdi. Nishant owns a mobile store under the name M.S. JMC Traders on Devigarh Road.

He shared that he often used gift vouchers to buy phones online for discounts. On January 18, 2024, while searching for sellers on IndiaMart and LinkedIn, he found a profile named Sikandar. Claiming to own a firm called “Reward Future,” Sikandar offered vouchers worth โ‚น5 lakh in exchange for โ‚น4.85 lakh.

Trusting the offer, Nishant shared firm documents and KYC via email. From January 22 to March 17, 2024, he transferred a total of โ‚น14.55 lakh but never received the promised vouchers.

A case was registered at the Cyber Crime Station. One suspect, Sikandar Talyan of Chur, Meerut district, was already arrested and sent on a two-day police remand.

During the remand, โ‚น15,000 was recovered. Based on his inputs, police arrested Siddharth Sahrawat of Mirapur Daulat, Muzaffarnagar district. Both accused were produced in court and sent to judicial custody.

Conclusion: Public Feels Safer After Quick Police Action

With these back-to-back arrests, Kaithal Police have shown they are serious about law enforcement. Locals feel a renewed sense of safety, and public trust in the system is growing.

Residents expressed their appreciation for the prompt actions taken against crime in the district. Whether it was catching a bike thief, busting a drug trafficker, solving a murder case, or tracking down cyber fraudsters, police acted quickly and with precision.
