Kaithal Police Holds Public Meet to Strengthen Harmony and Tackle Crime

Kaithal, May 26 – In a bid to boost mutual trust and reduce social tensions, Kaithal Police organized a district-level police-public coordination meeting under the guidance of SP Aastha Modi and the leadership of DSP Gurvinder Singh. The initiative aligns with the directions of the Director General of Haryana Police to form a Police-Public Coordination Committee across the state.

Community Participation at the Core

The meeting, held at the DSP office, included participation from respected individuals across villages and towns of the district. The primary goal was to encourage open dialogue between the police and the public, enabling citizens to share problems without fear or hesitation.

DSP Gurvinder Singh emphasized that strong cooperation between police and society is essential to curbing crime. He noted, “Without the support of the people, policing remains incomplete. Together, we can create a safer and more peaceful society.”

Public Voices Concerns, Police Plans Action

Community members shared local issues during the meeting. After listening to them, DSP Singh directed the concerned departments to take timely and appropriate action. Discussions also included follow-ups on issues raised in previous meetings, with reports showing progress and public satisfaction over resolutions.

Focus on Crime Prevention with Peace Committees

DSP Singh highlighted the role of Peace Committee members in controlling crime. Their continued cooperation, especially in controlling drug trafficking, illegal liquor trade, and arms smuggling, was appreciated and encouraged.

Commitment to Social Harmony

The police assured that while maintaining cordial and respectful relations with the public, they would deal strictly with anti-social elements. Attendees pledged their support to the police in making Kaithal a safer place through community efforts.
