Kaithal Police Launches Strong Anti-Drug Drive
Kaithal, August 16 — Under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Aastha Modi, the district police are running a massive campaign titled “Drug-Free District”. The initiative is focused on not only curbing drug trafficking but also raising awareness among all sections of society.
Awareness Campaigns Across Villages and Schools
Police teams are regularly visiting villages, chaupals, schools, colleges, and public places to spread the message of a drug-free society. The campaign emphasizes that addiction destroys both mental and physical health, snatches away family happiness, and blocks societal progress.
Youth at Greatest Risk
During awareness drives in Guhla, the police team — including SI Karmbir, ASI Om Prakash, HC Sunil Kumar, Woman Constable Kismat, SPO Rajpal, and SPO Pradeep Kumar — explained that youth are the most vulnerable to drug abuse. Since they represent the nation’s future, their involvement in drugs can stall family, social, and national growth.

Zero Tolerance Policy Against Drugs
SP Aastha Modi declared that Kaithal Police follows a zero tolerance policy towards both drug traffickers and users. Anyone found involved in selling or consuming narcotics will face strict action.
Public Cooperation is Key
The SP appealed to the public to avoid drugs at any cost and to actively engage with their children and family members about its dangers. Citizens were urged to immediately report any instance of drug abuse or peddling to the police.
Vision for a Drug-Free District
Reiterating the district police’s strong commitment, SP Modi stated:
“Our resolve is a drug-free district, a healthy society, and a safe future.”
