Punjab Minister Flags Off 1500 Bags of Cattle Feed for Flood-Hit Villages

Relief Sent to Bamiyal and Narot Jaimal Singh Areas

Pathankot, August 29, 2025
The Punjab government has continued its relief efforts for flood-affected families in Bamiyal and Narot Jaimal Singh villages. After distributing food and essential supplies, the government has now arranged special relief for cattle. Today, Punjab Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchakk flagged off trucks carrying around 1500 bags of cattle feed (chokhar) from the Kathlor bridge over the Ravi River.

Relief for Flood-Hit Villages

Minister Kataruchakk said that during his recent visit to Bamiyal and Narot Jaimal Singh, he noticed that apart from human suffering, villagers were also struggling to arrange feed for their livestock due to damaged crops. To address this issue, nearly 1500 bags of cattle feed have been sent to villages including Majiri, Pahadipur, Pamma, Pola, Fatehpur, Manjiri, Bamiyal, Makhanpur, Tas, Kajle, Toor, Lasyan, and others.

Punjab Government’s Commitment

He added that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the government is constantly reviewing the damage in flood-affected regions. Farmers whose crops were destroyed will receive compensation after proper field inspections (girdawari).

Standing with the People

Minister Kataruchakk emphasized that floods have severely disrupted normal life, but the Punjab government is determined to support every affected family. Relief operations will be further accelerated in the coming days to ensure both people and livestock get the necessary support.
