Farmers Urged to Register Crops Before Deadline
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Preeti has urged all farmers to register their Kharif crops such as paddy, cotton, millet, maize, pulses, fruits, and vegetables on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal. The registration window will remain open until August 31.
Benefits of Registration
According to DC Preeti, registering crops on the portal is mandatory for farmers to:
- Access government agricultural schemes.
- Sell their produce at nearby mandis without difficulty.
- Ensure transparency in crop records and farmer details.
Where and How to Register
Farmers can register their crops through:
- Atal Seva Kendras available in villages.
- The official website: fasal.haryana.gov.in.
To complete registration, farmers must have their Parivar Pehchan Patra (Family ID).
Kharif Crop Coverage in Kaithal
Assistant Statistical Officer Balkaar Singh informed that nearly 4.96 lakh acres of farmland in Kaithal district are cultivated during the Kharif season. He cautioned that farmers who fail to register on time may face challenges in selling their crops.
Appeal to Farmers
Officials have requested farmers to verify and update their mobile numbers linked with the Parivar Pehchan Patra before registration. This will ensure a smooth process on the portal.
