Event to Begin from Ambala Road Indoor Stadium
Kaithal, October 21 — Deputy Commissioner Preeti announced that on October 31, to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, India’s first Home Minister, a Run for Unity event will be organized in Kaithal.
The marathon will start from the Indoor Stadium on Ambala Road, with participation from school students, social organizations, and people from all walks of life.
Meeting Held to Review Preparations
DC Preeti held a meeting with district officials to review arrangements and issued necessary directions for smooth organization. Earlier, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Arun Gupta gave state-level instructions through video conference regarding the event.
DC Preeti said that Sardar Patel was the architect of India’s unity, who integrated princely states into one nation through his visionary leadership. To honor his contribution, Run for Unity is being organized to promote national integration at the district level.
SDM Kaithal Appointed Nodal Officer
DC informed that SDM Kaithal will serve as the nodal officer for the event. The run will commence from the District Indoor Stadium, with participation from students, social activists, and representatives of various organizations across the district.
Appeal for Public Participation
DC Preeti urged citizens to take part in the event and strengthen the message of national unity. She emphasized that when school children are inspired with the value of unity, they grow up to become strong pillars of the nation.
She said, “The strength of any nation lies in the unity of its citizens. We must all contribute to reinforcing India’s national integration.”
Administrative Arrangements for the Event
DC directed all departments to perform their assigned duties with full responsibility.
- Police officers were instructed to ensure safety measures and route arrangements.
- Municipal officers were told to maintain cleanliness along the route.
- District Education Officer will ensure participation of school students.
- District Sports Officer will oversee stage setup and overall arrangements.
The meeting was attended by DIPRO Naseeb Saini and Praveen Thareja from the District Education Office.
