Emergency Preparedness Measures Strengthened in Guhla-Cheeka
Guhla-Cheeka, May 9 – In light of the current situation, SDM Captain Pramesh Singh held a crucial meeting with officers from all departments in Guhla block. The purpose was to ensure emergency readiness and deliver clear instructions for quick response measures.
He instructed that no officer or employee should leave their station, as they may be assigned duties at any time without prior notice.
Loudspeakers and Sirens to Be Installed in All Areas
To boost communication during emergencies, village-level public announcement systems will be activated. The SDM directed the BDPO to assign village secretaries and patwaris the responsibility of installing loudspeakers and sirens in each village.
These systems will help spread verified information from the administration directly to people sitting at home. The SDM emphasized checking existing systems installed in Gurdwaras, temples, and banks to confirm functionality during critical situations.
Stop Rumors, Trust Official Sources Only
The SDM made a strong appeal to the public: “Do not believe in rumors.” Only trust information released by the district administration. He asked officials to coordinate with higher authorities and ensure people receive accurate details.
To prevent misinformation, at least one village secretary or patwari must be present in every village at all times.
Public Announcement Zones to Be Marked in Cities
Municipal officers were instructed to identify designated spots for setting up citywide public announcement systems. These will play a key role in ensuring that residents get timely and correct updates without confusion or panic.
Medical Readiness Also Reviewed
