Son Confesses to Killing Father in Kaithal

In a deeply disturbing case, Kaithal police have solved a blind murder mystery that shocked the community. Working jointly, CIA-1 and City Police cracked the case by identifying and arresting the killerโ€”who turned out to be the victimโ€™s own son.

The incident took place in Patti Afghan, Kaithal, where a decaying body was found in a locked room. The case had no immediate leads, making it a classic blind murder. However, due to swift action by law enforcement, the truth was uncovered within days.

Suspicion Arises After Days of Silence

According to police, 52-year-old Rampal lived alone near his elder brother Rishpal in Patti Afghan. His wife and children had been living separately in her parental home in Chidi Chandi village, Rohtak district. The couple was estranged for some time, and Rampal had started selling fruits from a cart on Cheeka Road after leaving his previous job as a mason.

Over five to six days, neighbors noticed that Rampal had not been seen around. On April 28, his brother Rishpal decided to check on him. He found the house locked from the outside. A strong stench was coming from within.

Body Found in Decomposed State

When Rishpal entered the house, he discovered Rampal’s lifeless body lying on the bed. The corpse had started to decompose and had visible injuries on the head and limbs. The stench suggested that the body had been there for several days.

Rishpal immediately informed the local police. A murder case was registered at the City Police Station under relevant sections. Given the condition of the body and lack of witnesses, the case was considered a blind murder at first.

Quick Action by Police Brings Truth to Light

Superintendent of Police Aastha Modi issued strict instructions to solve the case quickly. Acting on these orders, CIA-1 in-charge SI Jaswant Singh and PSI Shanish from the city police formed a special team. Their investigation led them to Vishnu, the son of the deceased.

Vishnu was arrested from his maternal village, Chandi in Rohtak. During interrogation, he confessed to killing his father. This confession shocked everyone involved in the case.

Son’s Grudge Led to Brutal Murder

During questioning, Vishnu revealed that he held a long-standing grudge against his father. He was angry about his father living separately from his mother. This ongoing family conflict led to the tragic murder.

On April 21, Vishnu visited his father. A heated argument broke out about why his mother had to stay away. In a fit of rage, Vishnu picked up a wooden stick and attacked his father. He struck Rampal on the head and legs, leading to his death.

After committing the crime, he locked the room and bolted the main gate from outside. Then he returned to his motherโ€™s home, pretending nothing had happened.

Community in Shock Over Family Tragedy

The news of the son being the killer left the local community in disbelief. Many knew the family and never imagined such a tragic end to their strained relationships. The incident sparked conversations about mental health, broken families, and the consequences of unresolved conflicts.

Locals expressed sadness, with some suggesting that early intervention from community leaders or counseling might have prevented the tragedy.

Legal Proceedings Underway

The accused, Vishnu, is currently in police custody and will be produced in court on Thursday. Authorities are continuing the interrogation to uncover further details. They are also reviewing whether any prior threats or complaints had been reported, which might have served as early warning signs.

Police Applauded for Swift Resolution

Despite the emotional nature of the case, police acted swiftly and professionally. Their coordination and efficient investigation led to the resolution of a case that initially had no clear direction. SP Aastha Modiโ€™s instructions played a crucial role in maintaining momentum.

Residents have praised the efforts of CIA-1 and the City Police Station. They hope this case sends a message about the importance of timely conflict resolution within families.

A Warning About Family Disputes and Isolation

This case highlights the dark consequences of unresolved family disputes. Isolation, unspoken resentment, and broken communication can push individuals toward irreversible actions. Vishnuโ€™s motive stemmed from a deep emotional wound, fueled by the disintegration of his family.

Had the family received guidance, therapy, or mediation earlier, this violent outcome might have been avoided. Social workers and local leaders stressed the need to increase awareness around mental health and family counseling, especially in rural areas.

Conclusion: Justice Served, But Pain Remains

Though the murderer has been caught, the emotional wounds of this case will take time to heal. The family, already torn apart by separation, now faces even deeper trauma. A father is gone, and a son faces a lifetime of consequences.

This incident serves as a grim reminder of the need to address emotional and mental struggles within families before they escalate. Community support, counseling, and better outreach from local governance can prevent similar tragedies in the future.
