Kaithal police have intensified their crackdown on traffic rule violators under the directions of SP Rajesh Kalia. Special teams, led by Traffic SHO SI Rajkumar, are actively issuing challans and spreading awareness about traffic safety.
Authorities have taken strict action against those creating panic by modifying Bullet bike silencers to produce loud firecracker-like sounds. In March alone, 135 Bullet bikes were fined.
Throughout the month, traffic police issued 3,169 challans, impounded 80 vehicles, and collected ₹25.89 lakh in fines. Key violations included:
- 240 for missing number plates
- 108 for lane changes
- 255 for riding without helmets
- 482 for overspeeding
- 611 for wrong-side driving
- 390 for not wearing seat belts
- 13 for drunk driving
- 3 for mobile phone use
- 7 for black film on windows
- 7 for underage driving

SP Rajesh Kalia emphasized that following traffic rules is essential for road safety. He urged citizens to drive responsibly to prevent accidents and protect lives. The police’s goal is not just to issue fines but to ensure public safety and reduce road fatalities.
