Children’s Work Beyond Their Age, Creativity Gets a Platform
Guhla-Cheeka – The annual school paper Gurudev School Times was unveiled at Gurudev Public School Kasauli by former principal and noted educationist Harbans Lal. Praising the effort, he remarked that the students’ work truly reflects maturity beyond their age.
He emphasized that schools should go beyond rote learning and actively nurture creativity and independent thinking among students. The four-page newspaper-style annual publication features thoughtful student contributions across history, science, mathematics, and literature under teachers’ guidance.

Encouraging Expression and Confidence
Harbans Lal noted that such initiatives strengthen students’ confidence and expression skills. He highlighted the crucial role of teachers, saying that with proper guidance, children can excel in any field. He appreciated the school management for providing this meaningful platform and encouraged continuation of such efforts.
Research on Local History and Social Change
School Principal Anuja Sharma shared that students, guided by their history teacher, prepared a research-based article on the historical village of Arnauli located in the Ghaggar belt. The piece attempts to revive facts buried in time and promotes preservation of regional heritage.
Students also presented an impactful article on the social transformation efforts by youth in Paprala, highlighting how education, cooperation, and collective action are bringing positive change—an inspiration for other villages.
