Tree Plantation Drive Promotes Environmental Awareness and Honors Mothers

In a heartfelt and environmentally conscious initiative, the Shri Bhawani Sewa Samiti successfully organized the “One Tree for Mother” campaign at Swarg Dham, Ward No. 1, under the leadership of Committee President Kuldeep Majra.

The event aimed to spread awareness about environmental protection and to pay tribute to mothers. As part of the campaign, 21 neem saplings were planted during the holy month of Sawan. Each tree was planted and dedicated by committee members in the name of their respective mothers.

Addressing the gathering, Kuldeep Majra emphasized the dual purpose of the campaign. “‘One Tree for Mother’ is not just about planting trees; it’s a symbol of our respect towards motherhood and our commitment to the environment,” he said.

He further added that the increasing threat of global warming makes it essential for everyone, especially the younger generation, to step up and actively participate in plantation drives. “By educating our youth about the benefits of planting and caring for trees, we can instill a sense of environmental responsibility and secure a better future for our planet,” Majra stated.

He urged the public to take a pledge to plant more trees and nurture them, thereby making a meaningful contribution to the fight against climate change.

The event saw active participation from Vice President Bhushan Sharma and committee members Subhash Sharma, Sanjeev Bhargav, Labbu, Harpal Sharma, Rammeher Kaushik, and others, all committed to giving this campaign a greater push in the coming days.

The plantation drive not only added greenery to the area but also gave the community a noble way to honor their mothers—by growing life in their names.
