Two Bail-Jumping Accused Arrested in Liquor Smuggling Case

Kaithal, March 24 – The Proclaimed Offenders (PO) Arrest Staff successfully apprehended two bail-jumping accused involved in an illicit liquor smuggling case.

Under the leadership of SI Om Prakash, with SI Satish Kumar and ASI Rajkumar, the team arrested Amandeep and Vijay Kumar, both residents of Sontha village.

As per police records, on July 20, Ramthali Police Post had intercepted a vehicle at Chakku Ladana-Ramthali Mod, recovering 228 bottles of illicit liquor from Amandeep, Vijay, and their accomplice Rajesh Kumar. However, after securing bail, the accused failed to appear in court and went underground. On February 28, 2025, the court declared them Proclaimed Offenders (POs). The police have now arrested them, and further legal proceedings are in progress.
