Two Women Arrested for Stealing Suits from Cloth Shop in Kalayat

Kaithal – Two women have been arrested by the Anti Vehicle Theft Staff in a case involving the theft of suits from a clothing store in Kalayat. The investigation was carried out by a team led by SI Pradeep Kumar and ASI Manoj Kumar.

Police spokesperson Praveen Shyokand said that Anil, a resident of Kalayat, filed a complaint stating that his wife runs a cosmetic and clothing shop in the area. On the afternoon of March 31, around 30 suits were stolen from their shop by unknown individuals. A case was registered at Kalayat Police Station.

Acting on the complaint, the police arrested the two female accused – Sonika and Sumitra, both residents of Hansi – from Jakholi Adda in Kaithal. During interrogation, the vehicle used in the theft and four stolen suits were recovered from their possession.

The spokesperson added that other suspects involved in the incident have also been identified and will be arrested soon. The two women have been sent to judicial custody as per court orders.
