Ward-Wise Sanitation Committees to Be Formed: Vice Chairman Subhash Chandra
Meeting Held on City Cleanliness Campaign
Kaithal, September 8. A special meeting was organized at the Municipal Council Kaithal regarding the city’s cleanliness campaign. The meeting was chaired by Subhash Chandra, Executive Vice Chairman of the Swachh Bharat Mission, while Municipal Council Chairperson Surabhi Garg was also present.
Sanitation Committees in All 32 Wards
Vice Chairman Subhash Chandra announced that to transform this campaign into a people’s movement, sanitation committees will be formed in all 32 wards of the city.
- Convener: The respective ward councillor
- Co-convener: A social worker
These committees will also include representatives of social, religious, and trade organizations, Resident Welfare Associations, Market Associations, NGOs, retired soldiers, retired employees, and college youth.

Focus on Awareness and Shramdaan
He said the committees will work jointly with Municipal Council officials to carry out cleanliness drives and awareness campaigns in their wards, ensuring the message of sanitation reaches every citizen.
Fulfilling the CM’s Vision
Subhash Chandra appealed to citizens to contribute to the success of this campaign and help fulfill Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s vision of a Clean Haryana. He directed officials to actively involve society in making the state clean and beautiful, thus realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of a Clean and Developed India.
Chairperson Surabhi Garg’s Remarks
Municipal Council Chairperson Surabhi Garg said that, in line with the Chief Minister’s directions, ward-wise committees will be formed, and nodal officers will be appointed for each ward. She expressed confidence that with the combined efforts of the administration, society, and public representatives, Kaithal district will achieve top ranks in cleanliness.
