Wildlife Week 2025 Celebrated with Eco Quiz, Painting & Plantation Drive
Cheeka, September 25, 2025 – As part of Wildlife Protection Week 2025, Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Cheeka, organized a series of awareness activities under the guidelines of the Forest and Wildlife Department, Government of Haryana. The events included an Eco Quiz Competition, Painting Competition, and a Mega Plantation Drive. Students participated enthusiastically, highlighting their commitment to nature and conservation.
Eco Quiz Competition
The Eco Quiz was organized for students of Classes 9 to 12. Winners were as follows:
- First Place – Himanshu, Rohan, and Nikita (Class 11)
- Second Place – Jagriti, Bhupinder Kaur, and Renuka Sharma (Class 9)
- Third Place – Anmol, Raman, and Armaan Khan (Class 10)
Painting Competition
The Painting Competition was held for Classes 6 to 8. Students showcased their creativity on themes of environment and wildlife.
- First Place – Nisha (Class 8)
- Second Place – Harshita (Class 8)
- Third Place – Gurpreet (Class 8)
Mega Plantation Drive: One Tree for Mother 2.0
On September 25, the school also hosted a Mega Plantation Drive titled “One Tree for Mother 2.0” under the guidance of Principal Medhavat and Eco Club Incharge Laxmi Narayan. Students planted around 30 saplings within the campus, pledging their commitment to a greener future.
Students Learn Value of Environmental Protection
Through these events, students not only learned about wildlife conservation and environmental protection but also understood the importance of plantation in building a sustainable tomorrow.
