Youth Murder Case: Second Accused Nabbed by Crime Unit
Kaithal, May 6 โ In a significant breakthrough in the youth murder case in Kaithal, the Special Detective Unit has arrested a second accused. DSP Bir Bhan provided the details. He stated that the incident originated from an old dispute between two groups.
Aman, a resident of village Chausala, reported that about a year ago, he had a dispute with Vicky, Aman (another person), and Midha from Balu village while traveling with his friends Kulbir and Mohit.
Attack at Railway Gate
On May 1, Aman and Kulbir were heading home from the Kaithal market. As they approached the railway gate, a group including Vicky, Aman, Midha (from Balu), and Sahil, Jayprakash, and Karamjeet (from Khark) blocked their path. They were armed with knives and brass knuckles.
Kulbir was attacked brutally with knives while Aman managed to escape. Kulbir was taken to Shah Hospital but referred to Hisar due to severe injuries. Sadly, he died en route.
Investigation and Arrest
A murder case was registered at City Police Station. Under the leadership of SI Ramesh Chand, the Special Detective Unit arrested Jasbir Singh alias Jassi from village Kailram. Earlier, Jayprakash alias JP from Khark Pandwa was arrested and remanded for three days.
DSP confirmed both were involved. The accused admitted that the attack was premeditated due to an earlier altercation, even on the day of the incident near Hanuman Vatika.
Efforts to nab the remaining accused are ongoing. Both arrested individuals were sent to judicial custody on Tuesday.
Assault Case: Bail Jumper Caught by Dhand Police
In another case, Dhand Police under SHO SI Sanjay Kumar and SI Joginder Singhโs team arrested Ankit from village Pabnawa. He had been declared a Proclaimed Offender (PO) for skipping court after being released on bail.
The original assault case dates back to August 4, 2020, involving physical violence against two villagers. The court declared him a PO on April 23, 2025, for not appearing despite repeated summons.
Further legal action is in progress.

Evening Robbery: Accused Nabbed for Knife Attack and Theft
In a third incident, the CIA-1 police arrested Ravi from Basti Cheeka. He allegedly attacked two brothers returning home from their shop, Jindal Communication, on the evening of April 28.
Ravi and another masked youth attacked them on Guhla Road, Cheeka, and snatched their bag containing Rs. 60,000-70,000, two mobile phones, and a shop key.
The case was promptly registered at Cheeka Police Station. SP Aastha Modi assigned the investigation to CIA-1. Acting swiftly, a team led by SI Jaswant Singh and ASI Kamaljeet arrested Ravi and recovered the bike used in the crime.
He was sent to 4-day police remand for further questioning.
