Special Detective Unit Arrests Man with Illegal Firearm in Kaithal

Kaithal, March 24 – Acting on orders from SP Rajesh Kalia to crack down on illegal arms possession, the Special Detective Unit arrested an accused with a .32-bore country-made pistol.

Led by SI Ramesh Chand, a police team including ASI Rammehar Singh, ASI Sanjay Kumar, and Constable Saurabh Kumar was patrolling near the Kaithal-Jind bypass when they received a tip-off about a suspect, Amarjeet, from village Matoor, carrying an illegal weapon near the New Grain Market drain bridge. The police swiftly acted on the information and apprehended the accused at the designated location.

Upon searching Amarjeet, the police found a .32-bore country-made pistol in his possession. A case was registered, and ASI Sanjay Kumar formally arrested the accused. He has been sent to judicial custody as per court orders.
