Kaithal, March 25 – Deputy Commissioner (DC) Preeti conducted a field inspection of the Rabi crop girdawari (crop survey) on Tuesday. She visited various locations across the district and instructed revenue officials to prepare accurate reports on the status of crops.
DC Preeti first arrived at Gobindpura Rakba village, where she inspected the girdawari conducted by the patwari. The crops, including wheat, peas, and green fodder, were found to be correctly recorded. She then proceeded to Pidhal village, where she cross-checked the records with the actual crops in the fields, which were also accurate. During her visit, she also interacted with the village sarpanch and other prominent residents to discuss local issues.
Following this, she inspected crops in Titaram Rakba and Chandana Rakba villages, where she verified the recorded data with the actual crops. In Chandana, she specifically checked one acre of standing wheat and confirmed that the patwari’s records matched the ground reality. The inspection continued in Kalayat and Pinjupura villages, where the girdawari was also found to be correctly documented.
DC Preeti instructed revenue officials to complete the girdawari process on time and submit the reports as per schedule. She emphasized that farmers should not face any difficulties due to errors in record-keeping. She personally verified the recorded data with the field crops and warned officials against any negligence in the girdawari process.
She further stressed that only the crops actually grown on-site should be recorded. The girdawari process, conducted twice a year, must be done by visiting the fields rather than completing formalities from the office. Strict action will be taken against any patwari or revenue officer found guilty of falsifying records. She assured that any complaints regarding the girdawari process would be personally investigated, and revenue officials must keep their records updated.
