Sports play a crucial role in every individual’s life, and a child’s overall development heavily depends on physical activities. Highlighting the importance of sports, Somveer DPE addressed students at Government School, Harigarh Kingan. He emphasized that sports are essential for life as they enhance physical and mental well-being while reducing stress. He also advised students that learning with discipline is the key to a successful academic life.

Professor Raja Singh Jhinjer, spokesperson for St. John Ambulance and a lifelong member of the Indian Red Cross Society, stated that sports instill team spirit, promote effective time management, help in setting life goals, and develop the ability to accept victories and defeats gracefully. He stressed that sports play a significant role in keeping youth away from substance abuse and negative influences. Jhinjer further added that the primary objectives of the Indian Red Cross Society—health, service, and friendship—are strongly supported by sports.
