Kaithal– A seminar was organized on Tuesday at the Kaithal Police Lines where police personnel and officers received detailed training on first aid. The session was conducted by Dr. Anju Sharma, National Master Trainer of First Aid, Kaithal.

The seminar saw the participation of 75 members, including DSP Sushil Prakash, women police officers, and personnel from Dial 112. Police spokesperson Praveen Shyokand shared that Dr. Anju Sharma provided practical insights on administering first aid in emergency situations such as CPR, heart attacks, bleeding, fractures, unconsciousness, and choking.

Demonstrations were also held to show how to handle medical emergencies effectively.

DSP Sushil Prakash emphasized that the main aim of the event was to make police personnel aware of the importance of first aid. He noted that in many accidents, the lack of timely medical help often leads to greater damage. However, if victims receive immediate assistance, it can significantly reduce pain and potential complications.

He added that having basic first aid knowledge will not only help police personnel stay alert but also enable them to protect themselves and those around them. First aid training is essential for every police officer.
