Kaithal – The Kaithal Police continue their anti-drug awareness campaign with full force, working to create a drug-free district through both public awareness and strict action against drug traffickers.
DSP Kuldeep Beniwal, speaking on the campaign, stated that SP Rajesh Kalia has directed all station in-charges and CIA units to take the strictest possible action against those involved in drug trafficking. The goal is to make Kaithal a drug-free district, but public cooperation is essential for the mission’s success.
DSP Beniwal appealed to the public to report drug dealers without fear—assuring that the identity of informants will be kept confidential and swift action will be taken to put the culprits behind bars. “Drug peddlers deserve jail, not freedom in our communities,” he emphasized.

A dedicated team led by ASI Omprakash, HC Sunil Kumar, and Home Guard Shamsher Singh is actively organizing village-level programs to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drug use and to discourage addiction.
Calling drugs a social evil, DSP Beniwal warned that drug use often starts as a thrill but can end in death. It leads to serious health issues, emotional distress for families, and financial burdens. Moreover, it strips individuals of respect and ruins their potential.
He encouraged people, especially the youth, to pursue sports and other productive activities as alternatives to substance abuse. He also urged village panchayats to organize sports competitions to engage and inspire the youth.
For those already struggling with addiction, free treatment is available at government hospitals. “If we stay away from drugs, we can achieve any dream we imagine,” Beniwal concluded, reinforcing a strong message of hope and action.
