SDM’s Visit to Chika Grain Market, Provides Essential Directives

Guhla-Chika, April 14SDM Captain Premesh Singh visited the Chika Grain Market on Monday to assess the ongoing wheat procurement process and other essential services. During the visit, the SDM took stock of the facilities available to farmers and traders, including the arrangements for wheat purchases and lifting operations.


SDM Interacts with Farmers and Traders

The SDM took the opportunity to speak with both farmers and commission agents (Arhtiyas). He gathered feedback about the existing challenges and ensured that all necessary steps were being taken to make the process smooth for the people involved.


Key Directives to Officials

Captain Premesh Singh issued a series of important directives to the officials present at the market. He stressed that there should be no hindrance to farmers during the wheat procurement process. Farmers should face no inconvenience, and all officers and staff must carry out their duties without any negligence.

The SDM also emphasized that farmers’ issues must be given priority. He instructed that electricity and water supply should remain uninterrupted during the procurement period. If there were any disruptions, they should be immediately addressed.


Ensuring Cleanliness and Preparedness

Additionally, the SDM highlighted the need to maintain cleanliness at the toilets situated in the market. Regular cleaning should be ensured for the comfort of the public. Captain Singh also reminded the officials to stay prepared for the changing weather conditions and be ready for any situation that may arise during the ongoing wheat procurement season.


Presence of Key Officials

Alongside the SDM, several key figures were present at the site, including District Food Supply Controller Nishant Rathi and Market Committee Secretary Satbir Ravish, along with other relevant officials. The meeting was a proactive step in ensuring that the wheat procurement process remains smooth and efficient for all involved.
