Yoga Session Held in Kaithal Jail for Inmates and Staff

On May 31, a special yoga session was organized at Kaithal Jail following the directives of the Hon’ble Director General of Prisons, Haryana, and with the support of the Ayush Department. The event was conducted under the supervision of Jail Superintendent Ashok Kumar.

During the session, male inmates and jail staff were guided through various yoga practices by Yoga Assistants Sandeep Rajrana and Satish Kumar. Simultaneously, in the women’s ward, Mrs. Kanika conducted yoga for female inmates and staff.

Superintendent Ashok Kumar highlighted the importance of yoga, stating that it helps in keeping both body and mind healthy, and aids in managing stress effectively. The session created a peaceful and positive atmosphere within the prison, promoting wellness among the participants.

Also present during the session were Deputy Superintendent Surender Kumar, Assistant Superintendent Naresh Kumar, and other jail staff members who actively participated in the event.
