Kaithal, June 7 – In a determined effort to rid the district of drugs and tighten control over criminal activities, the Kaithal Police, under the leadership of SP Aastha Modi, carried out a large-scale search operation across the region.
As part of the ongoing anti-narcotics drive, around 200 police personnel in 25 teams, including commando units and sniffer dogs, raided approximately 150 suspected locations on Saturday morning. The coordinated operation took place in Kalayat, Rajound, and Guhla police station areas.

The teams meticulously searched homes and surroundings where illegal drugs might be hidden or offenders involved in drug trafficking or other crimes could be unlawfully residing. This high-intensity campaign is aimed not only at catching culprits but also at reinforcing a sense of safety among the public.
SP Aastha Modi emphasized that the goal of this morning raid was twofold – to strengthen the district’s security framework and to create a fear of law among wrongdoers. She reiterated that making Kaithal drug-free remains the prime objective of the district police.
During the operation, the public was also sensitized about the harmful effects of drugs and encouraged to report any suspicious activities or individuals involved in the narcotics trade. Police assured that the identity of informants would be kept confidential.

DSP Kuldeep Beniwal, who supervised the operation, stated that such drives would continue regularly. “This initiative will either force criminals to quit illegal activities or compel them to leave the region altogether,” he added.
The Kaithal Police’s consistent and strategic efforts are expected to significantly curb the spread of drugs and reduce criminal elements in the district.
