Akal Academy Bhunsla Students Spread Green Message Through Plantation Drive

Cheeka, July 22:
In a commendable initiative promoting environmental awareness, students of Akal Academy, Bhunsla, organized a tree plantation program with full enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility. The event saw participation from students of all classes and aimed to instill a deep sense of environmental care among them.

The plantation drive was led by the school principal Gurjeet Kaur, with active involvement from teachers including Diksha Gusen, Bharminder Singh, Gurpreet Kaur, and other staff members. Their guidance played a vital role in educating students about the importance of environmental conservation.

Students planted a variety of saplings including Tulsi, Neem, Giloy, Guava, Gulmohar, and other medicinal and shade-giving plants within the school campus. Each plant was carefully chosen to highlight its unique ecological and health benefits. Teachers explained how proper care of these plants can greatly contribute to a healthier society and environment.

During the event, students pledged to take regular care of the plants they had planted, ensuring they would water them and monitor their growth. Principal Gurjeet Kaur stated, “Such activities not only enhance students’ attachment to nature but also develop a strong sense of social responsibility.”

At the conclusion of the program, students were handed motivational quotes and messages related to environmental protection. This thoughtful gesture aimed to reinforce the values of sustainability and ecological responsibility in their young minds.

The plantation initiative not only beautified the school campus but also sowed the seeds of environmental commitment and love for nature in the hearts of students.
